Walt Disney World has released a first look at the costumes cast members will wear for the upcoming “Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind” attraction.
WDW Imagineer Zach Riddley revealed the shirt and hat for the costume on his Instagram, saying, “In this experience, our actors will be emissaries of Xandar as members of the Nova Corps, helping guests along their adventure. through attraction.
The costumes draw inspiration from style, color, and iconography that we’ve only seen glimpses of within the Nova Corps and the world of Xandar. Now we can enter this world for the very first time.
Here are the photos :
I’m curious why Walt Disney World chose this blue color when Nova Corp in the comics and movies wore dark navy blue. Additionally, Nova Corp’s traditional colors are navy and gold with the orange/red insignia designations, and there is no gold on the cast members’ costumes.
Also, if you look at the sleeve of the suit, the insignia looks a lot like the insignia worn by the Millenian rank of the Nova Corp. This rank is second out of five (Corpsman, Millenian, Denarian, Centurion, and Nova Prime). I’m not sure what this means with attraction costumes.
Recently, EPCOT cast members were able to visit the Wonders of Xandar pavilion, and where a photo was taken of real cast members wearing the costume:

What do you think of the disguise? Does this match what you think of “Guardians of the Galaxy” and the Nova Corp? Let us know in the comments.
The “Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind” attraction at EPCOT will open to the public on May 27. Previews for the cast members will begin soon, first solo, then as a family. Previews for Passholders are also coming soon.
As we get closer to the opening date, there may also be occasional openings for park visitors, and if we hear of them, we’ll let you know.
