“When I’m with Hailey,” her employee says, “she always makes me laugh. She loves to have conversations, and she can be very funny, sometimes very witty.

“When we get into a deep conversation, it can get very thoughtful, asking about me and my career, about my 12-year-old daughter-in-law — about what my life is all about.”

A 13-year-old who loves makeup, nail products, jewelry and colorful clothing, Hailey maintains a positive attitude and enjoys many activities, including canvas painting, bicycling, swimming and boating, shopping, playing games, watching television and using his tablet computer.

“It was fun recently, during one of our regular virtual visits,” shared her worker, “to see her so excited because she had received some Color Street style nail polish. very girly girl.

She is also a very caring girl. In her spare time, Hailey volunteers at an animal shelter and walks dogs.

“I would like to be a veterinarian,” she said.

“Hailey is doing well in school,” her employee says. “His favorite subjects are science and social studies. She tries very hard because she likes to be a good student. She enjoys doing everything she does. She would thrive in a family that strongly encourages her to try new things and provides structure, consistency, and emotional support.

“She likes to know what’s coming up and loves using her calendar. She does well with structure and routine.

Hailey’s worker thinks Hailey would do better with a single mom; two female parents; or a family with a mother and a father, with the mother being the primary caretaker.

“Her relationships with her siblings should also be maintained,” says her speaker, “as well as the services she receives that allow her to grow and thrive. »

Hailey deeply wants to have her own family forever.

“I would love to spend quality time with my forever family,” she says, “and ride my bike, play games, go swimming, have picnics, and go to my favorite restaurant: Buffalo Wild Wings! “

“Having a family,” she says, “means that I would be involved in family activities, that I would always have someone to talk to, that I would always feel loved. It means that I will always have someone there for me, no matter what.
